A referral link attributes a new account to the member who shared it. Creating an account does not itself earn points. Payout, when Rewards and Referrals are on, waits for that new member's first completed deal — not for email or phone confirm.

How attribution works

Each member can have one referral code. Opening the link may set a referral cookie for thirty days and send the visitor to register. If too many people open the link from one place in a short window, registration still works but the cookie may not be set. A new account is attributed once. You cannot refer yourself, and a circular pair is blocked.

Abuse

Self-referrals, fake accounts, and farmed signups are forbidden. Same signup details as the referrer, or a burst of referrals from one person or one place, can flag the row for staff. A flag is not an automatic ban and it is not an automatic payout. Staff approve, reject, or block with a reason. Flagged rows do not pay if a deal completes while they are still flagged.
