Questions
Are there seller fees? Listings are free and mr.bid does not take a commission on sales. Optional paid services — featured ads, Professional Seller, and a manual-escrow service fee of the item price (default 1.5%, staff can change it) — are paid to mr.bid by bank or mobile money. Ads and subscriptions are verified on Seller payments; the escrow fee is quoted on the deal and the escrow desk. That is separate from the buyer–seller item payment. Seller fees is the same walkthrough as the Seller guide, with that honesty at the top.
What happens to listing photos? Uploads are compressed, EXIF location is stripped, and you can turn on a CSS watermark. A listing can have at most 24 photos — the gallery shows all of them. When object storage is connected, photos are stored there. Otherwise they stay on this server.
How many photos can a listing have? 24. Sell and edit refuse more than that, and the public gallery loads every photo on the listing. Cards with more than one photo let you step through them without opening the listing.
Can I import listings from a spreadsheet? Yes. The seller dashboard accepts a CSV of drafts (title, description, price, city, category). Photos are not imported. Publish each draft after you add photos.
Does CSV import publish my listings? No. Import CSV as drafts waits while the file is read, then creates every valid row as a draft — there is no first-50 cut. Titles over 140 characters are refused. The file must stay under 200 KB. Photos are not imported. Open each draft, add photos, then publish. The import does not take payment.
Can I name my shop separately? Yes. Account name and photo stay on My Account. Shop name, logo, banner, and about are a separate form on that page, and that is what buyers see on your storefront at /store/[slug]. Shop hours and saved message replies are there too.
What is a seller storefront? Each shop has a public storefront at /store/[slug] — for example /store/michael-electronics. It shows logo, banner, and description, then Products, Auctions, Deals, Reviews, About, Contact, and Followers. Deals are sold listings, not money mr.bid collected. Contact uses the seller's WhatsApp when they allow it. Messages still start from a listing. Following is not a purchase. /seller/[slug] redirects there. A custom hostname such as mr.bid/michael-electronics is not live.
Can I show shop hours? Yes. On My Account, shop hours appear on your storefront so buyers know when you are around. Hours are not a delivery promise.
Can buyers search inside my shop? Yes. The storefront at /store/[slug] and the all-items list have a search box that looks at your live listings only. Products and Auctions tabs filter that shop. /seller/[slug] redirects to the storefront.
Can I pause selling? Yes, from the seller dashboard. Buyers can still message you. Offers, Buy Now and new bids are blocked until you resume.
What happens when I unpublish a listing? Unpublish asks you to confirm, then hides a live listing from buyers until you publish it again. The listing is not deleted.
What is the difference between Withdraw and Unpublish? Withdraw takes a listing out of review before buyers see it. Unpublish hides a live listing. Both ask you to confirm. Neither deletes the listing.
What happens when I delete a draft? Delete on a draft asks you to confirm, then removes that listing. It cannot be undone. Live listings use Unpublish instead.
What does Mark sold do? It asks you to confirm, then marks the listing sold so buyers no longer see it as available. You still settle payment with the buyer off-platform. mr.bid does not collect that money.
Can I change price or city on several listings at once? Yes. On the seller dashboard, select listings and use Bulk action to unpublish, reserve, relist, set a Buy Now price, or set a city.
Can I share a draft before it is live? Yes. Save as draft, then use Preview or Copy link on the seller dashboard. Anyone with that link can see the listing. They cannot bid, buy, or message from it. The link stops working after you publish.
Can I share a draft listing? Yes. From a draft on the dashboard or edit page, create a preview link. Anyone with the link can see the draft. It is not live, not for sale, and not in search.
How do I get on the homepage? From Promote a listing (/seller/promote), pick a live listing. Choose Featured, Bump, Top of Category, Homepage Featured, Auction Promotion, Search promotion, Sponsored listing, Seller store banner, or Display ad, pay mr.bid by bank or mobile money, then submit the reference. An admin verifies before the placement starts. Homepage Featured is the Premium Finds row. Display ads are the homepage Sponsored rail and listing sidebar. Search and Sponsored add a Sponsored mark. Store banner is a paid strip on your own /store/[slug]. Bump refreshes the listed time and is not a featured badge. Campaign metrics are on /seller/ads. Buyer–seller payment stays off this flow.
What is Professional Seller? An optional mr.bid subscription with a higher live-listing limit from the plan you pay, a shop badge, seller analytics, and an inventory desk at /seller/inventory for SKUs, variants, stock, sale prices, bulk edit, and CSV. Pay monthly, quarterly, or annually the same way as featured ads. It is not a payment account for buyers. The public storefront is /store/[slug] for every shop, not only Professional Seller.
How do I manage stock and SKUs? The inventory desk is /seller/inventory for Professional Seller. Set a SKU, quantity, sale price, and a low-stock alert on each listing, and add variants (size or colour) on Buy Now listings. Auctions stay one item. Export CSV, edit in a spreadsheet, and import it back — the export is the shape the import reads. A lapsed plan locks editing; your catalogue stays live. Buyers see options on the listing; they tell you which one they want when they message or offer. Variant stock does not decrement on a deal yet.
Where is seller analytics? Seller dashboard → Analytics opens /seller/analytics. Every shop sees listing cap, lifetime page views, watchers, and units sold. Professional Seller adds this month's views, unique viewers, watchers, search appearances, messages, offers, conversion (completed deals / unique viewers, not checkout), sales, auction and promotion performance, response rate from recent conversations, and repeat buyers. Search appearances are times a listing showed on search, category, Buy Now, auction, and shop listing pages, not homepage rails. Unique viewers and search appearances start when recording began. Deal volume is completed deals, not money mr.bid collected.
What happens to quantity after Buy Now? The unit is held when buyer and seller agree, not when someone clicks Buy Now. When none are left the listing is sold. If that deal is cancelled, the unit is put back.
What is auto-relist? Turn it on when you post or from the seller dashboard. After the listing age limit, mr.bid keeps it live and resets the clock instead of expiring it. Relist from the dashboard still works if auto-relist is off.
Can I duplicate a listing? Yes. From your live listing page or the seller dashboard, Duplicate opens a draft copy. Photos and details copy over. You still review it before you publish.
How many rows are in my seller CSV? Listings, offers, and deals exports from the seller dashboard cap at 5,000 newest rows — the same cap as admin CSVs. Download from Seller dashboard.
Where do I see my promotion or Professional Seller payment? Open Seller → Payments. Each submitted fee shows Submitted, Under Review, Approved, or Rejected. That is money you paid mr.bid for ads or a subscription, not a buyer–seller deal.
How does delivery work? After you agree the deal, either of you records how the item will move: buyer pickup, seller delivery, buyer-arranged delivery, a third party, or shipping. You can add a fee you will pay each other, an estimated time, a pickup place, and a tracking link. mr.bid stores that record. It does not run vans, collect the fee, or ping a carrier. Confirming delivery does not complete the deal or move money. Mr.bid Delivery Partners is not live. Sellers save pickup places at /seller/pickup.
How do I pay mr.bid for promotions or Professional Seller? Choose a plan, pay the published bank or MoMo details off-site, then submit the reference and optional proof. Status goes Submitted → Under Review → Approved or Rejected. mr.bid does not take that money through a wallet or checkout. Buyer–seller deals stay in Messages.
Is Seller fees different from the Seller guide? Yes. /fees is listing-free and service-payment honesty. Listing on mr.bid is free. There is no insertion fee and no final-value commission on sales. Buyer–seller payment stays between you and the other party. Optional manual escrow includes a mr.bid service fee of the item price, not a wallet debit. Optional service payments are featured ads, bumps, search, sponsored, store banner, display, and Professional Seller. Campaign metrics are on /seller/ads. Help → Seller guide is the selling walkthrough. Promote a listing starts at /seller/promote. Professional Seller starts at /seller/subscribe.
How long can a listing title be? 140 characters. Sell, edit, and CSV import refuse a longer title instead of quietly cutting it. The short about line is 280 characters when it is filled from the description. Listing URL slugs stay at 72 characters. Google’s listing description uses the about line, or the first 160 characters of the description; the structured data description can be 300. The About tab on a listing shows that about line or the first 400 characters of the description; the Description tab has the full text.
Where do I promote a listing? Footer Promote a listing opens /seller/promote, a list of your live listings. Each row opens the paid placement form for that listing (featured, bump, category, homepage, auction, search, sponsored, store banner, display). Campaign impressions, clicks, CTR, spend, and conversions are on /seller/ads. It is not the seller dashboard and not a buyer–seller payment.
What is Mr.bid Ads? Mr.bid Ads is the campaign desk for paid placements. Create still starts at /seller/promote — you pay by bank or mobile money and staff approve. /seller/ads lists campaigns with impressions, clicks, CTR, spend, and conversions. Spend is the approved service-payment amount, not a CPC wallet debit. Conversion is a completed deal after a signed-in buyer clicks the ad within 7 days — not checkout and not money mr.bid collected. Clicks go through /ad/[id] to that listing only. Empty inventory stays empty. Staff review money on /admin/payments and serving on /admin/ads.
